Our bodies are built up from the food that we eat.
There is a constant breaking down of the tissues of the body; every
movement of every organ involves waste, and this waste is repaired
from our food. Each organ of the body requires its share of nutrition.
The brain must be supplied with its portion, the bones, muscles, and
nerves demand theirs.
It is a wonderful process that transforms the food into blood and uses
this blood to build up varied parts of the body; but this process is
going on continually, supplying with life and strength each nerve,
muscle, and tissue.
Nutrition is one of the most neglected areas of any bodybuilding or fat loss program. Considering the amount of conflicting information available, especially for people who want to build muscle or burn fat, it is no wonder that we often miss the target on nutrition.
So, what is nutrition? Nutrition is the process by which we take in and use food and supplements for health, growth, and energy.
I like the Flora – Heart foundation advert that was on our T.V. channels a few months ago. At the end of the advert, the following question is asked: “If you could see your Heart, would you treat it better?”
I like that. It’s profound. It really made me think.
Then I started thinking and asking myself:
- If I could see my pancreas, would I treat it better?
- If I could witness the stress my cells are put under because of
the food that I eat would I stop eating that food and radically change
the food I eat? - If I saw the damage that unhealthy eating was doing to my body as a whole, would I stop, or would I continue.
- If your cells had a face and you could witness the anguish in their faces, would you stop?
- If your cells had a voice, what would they say to you? What food would they ask you to eat?
- If they told you that even though the food you are eating tastes
and smells good, its actually putting them under a huge amount of
stress, would you stop or would you continue listening to your taste
buds? - If your lungs could speak, what would they say to you?
If your liver could speak, what would it say to you?
Ponder these questions as you continue reading. My guess is that most of us will not want to hear or see what our cells and organs have to say. Most of us would be scared to look at them. Is it a case of, out of sight out of mind? Is it case of, we can eat what we want because we can’t see what’s really going on inside? We poison ourselves daily and we don’t even know it. Large food companies poison us daily, and we don’t even know it. They know it. But they ignore it. It’s easy to ignore it when you have billions in the bank.
It’s amazing and mind-blowing how corruption, power and money can dim the hearts of men and seers their consciousness’ so much so that they are willing to destroy families and nations by continuing to distribute food that is riddled with toxins and poisons that destroy our bodies. The question is, if you and I were in their shoes, would we do the same? I guess some of us would (and I include myself)? Believe me; they are acutely aware of the damage they are doing to nations around the world. We, the consumers, the ‘man in the street’ perish because of a lack of knowledge. We don’t know the truth. We trust the T.V. We trust the grocery stores. We trust the radio. We trust society. We trust the so called ‘norm’. And we rush out and buy what they solicit us to buy unwittingly making them rich while at the same time destroying ourselves and generations after us. We prepare our food the so called ‘modern’ way. Why? Because they had a famous celebrity on T.V. advocating their brand, their way of preparing food, their so called healthy lifestyle. And you swallowed it hook, line and sinker. LOL ;-) These massive food corporations have done the research, they may not have known it when they started selling it to us, but now there is too much money to be lost and so the ‘wheel must continue to turn’ otherwise massive corporations will go bankrupt within months and billions will be lost and they will not allow that. So a handful of individuals stay rich and in power while nations suffer the consequences (sickness, disease, depression, obesity and a host of other ailments) because of these unnatural foods being marketed and sold aggressively with huge marketing budgets that run into the billions.
It’s easy because people don’t die or get sick right away. I guess that thought eases their guilt and numbs their conscious. It’s a gradual poisoning and deterioration of the body. We don’t realize it because it does not happen immediately.
What is even more ironic is that we have degrees in this and that. We know how to accomplish amazing things through technology and yet we are no further than we were with regard to disease, fitness, lifestyle than we were 100 years ago. In fact, we have more diseases, we suffer from the same diseases, we die earlier, we are more obese, we are more unfit, more unhappier. One day you sitting at your computer and you think you are healthy and the next day you are in the hospital. Do you know people like that? Have you heard stories like that? Sure you have. Do you think it can’t happen to you? Sure it can. Best you check your diet and your lifestyle before you answer that question. I have heard it called ‘Reality Check!’ It’s too late to do one when you lying on a white bed or even later when you’re lying in a brown enclosure. ;-)
NUTRITION: How it Affects The Mind and Emotions

When food is cooked, many nutrients are either partially or totally destroyed. The water soluble vitamins B and C are especially vulnerable and are destroyed in foods which are cooked in water, as are the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K when food is fried

I will share with you many more anecdotes below. But let me say this, please ponder the words of Elizabeth Gaywood. We live in society where we watch and see advertisement after advertisement soliciting us to buy and eat food that is destroying our bodies everyday.
Ever wonder why you sometimes feel:
- Moody
- Irritable
- Depressed
- Lethargic and always tired
- No energy, no vibrancy
- Have pimples on your face
- Have aches and pains
- Been for countless operations and they still can’t find the problem
- And the list is endless, you can add some of your own ailments
DEAR FRIEND – CHECK THE FOOD YOU EAT – BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PUT INTO YOUR BODY.
The media is full of adverts and marketing that deceive us into buying food that is detrimental to our health.
Let me be straight-forward and completely zealous right now. Stay away from the following foods immediately and you will see an immediate change:
- Hamburgers (Wimpy, Steers, Spur, Dros, and you know the rest)
- McDonalds
Fried Chicken (KFC (drenched in oil, Chicken Licken, Mochachos - Fizzy drinks (especially Coca-Cola I call it Stroka-Cola)
- Crisps (Simba, Lays)
Fried Chips
Cooking Oil (use water or Flora light to cook your food) - Pizza (one of the worst foods to eat. Debonairs, Romans Pizza)
- Meat (boerewors, viennas, beef, lamb) replace with fish or chicken(twice a week max)
- Cakes, donuts, biscuits
- Sugar
- White bread, flours
Any form of refined/processed food.
All of the above and others foods like it create toxins/poisins in your body and your body is put under stress daily trying to get rid of these toxins/poisons. If the food is straight out of the ground from nature, trust it. But if it is on the shelf and processed by a man (mankind) be weary. Always know that all these food companies do not have your best interest or you and your family’s interest at heart. They are all money machines. They first think money and then how to get you to spend more of it on their ‘dead’ food.
People are in sick beds in hospital, dying, feeling depressed, not enjoying work. Why? The answer is simple but not exclusive. Most of the time it is because of the food they eat. The condition of your body today is a direct result of what you ate yesterday. It’s as simple as that. Take it or leave it. IT’S YOUR LIFE. IT’S YOUR BODY! AND YOU ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE TO LIVE!
Our bodies communicate with us by giving us aches and pains, pimples, we feel depressed and lethargic. Why? Your body is ‘talking’ to you and you are not listening. You think the only form of communication in this world is through the use of words. How wrong you are! Communication is done through so many mediums -through our thoughts, through our feelings, through our sensors, through our spirit. We have been taught to master one form of communication (using words) and we have neglected the other forms to our own detriment and destruction. Let’s wise up and begin to learn how to communicate using the other forms. And you will see a profound transformation. You will begin to discover what an awesome machine, vessel, and weapon you really are.
Do you know what power you possess? Do you know what an awesome life you can live just by getting your body into shape and eating right? Did you know that you can never be sick again just by eating right? Did you know that you can heal faster if you simply eat right? Do you know you can think better just by eating right? Do you know you can start coming up with awesome ideas for your business and your employer just by eating right? Do you know your moods will be better just by eating right? At least start by getting your eating right. Then move on to getting your mind right and your fitness level right and so on. And all these things will come together as one and you will witness an awesome transformation that others will look at you with awe and want what you have. And you can tell them. Here we are, awesome specimens, powerful beings, with unrealized power. Why? Knowledge has been lost through the ages. Each generation loses more and more knowledge. Yes we are more technologically advanced but we die younger, we age quicker, we get sick so easily. We are generally unhappier than generations before us. We are more stressed out than generations before us.
When our bodies ‘talk’ to us – let’s begin to practice listening and then taking action. You will have fewer visits to the doctor and to hospitals if you can just learn to listen and practice listening to your body. Remember, you have to practice – you don’t become a master overnight especially if you have been living and eating recklessly for a long time. Stop giving satisfaction to one body part only – your taste buds. What about you’re poor cells, your heart, your pancreas, etc, that need real food – food that is ‘alive’ – food that is ‘living’? May I suggest that if some of us had our taste buds removed we would be able to easily adopt this lifestyle change? But that’s the easy way out. You have to use discipline, knowledge of the truth about food and the body, and action to achieve what is being advocated by me and other professionals.
Start eating healthy. Start being intentional in your eating. Bring your own food to work. Don’t trust others to cook your food for you. Be wise in how you eat.
Choose how:
- you eat
- what you eat
- how you process/prepare your food (this is just as important as what you eat, don’t use oil, avoid frying your food, don’t overcook vegetables – steam them).
- how you mix your food (e.g. certain foods should not be eaten together or straight after each other – more on this later and in the newsletter)
Consider the thoughts/snippets presented below from the book – “Fruitarian Diet and Physical Rejuvenation: A medical doctor’s personal account of his cure on a fruit and raw diet” by DR. O.L.M. Abramowski
“Up to my fiftieth year I lived on the common mixed diet. I had meat, bread, vegetables, a little fruit, etc., all cooked, I drank tea and coffee, beer and whisky, and smoked cigars. I grew stout and heavy, and, although I did my work as a physician and surgeon with the usual amount of success, I began to feel that I would not be able to stand the strain of an active life much longer, as the resistive powers of my tissues were getting weaker, and more infirmities presented themselves from year to year.”
“..Palpitations of the heart, sleeplessness, headaches, rheumatic and digestive troubles and other disorders made their appearance and became more and more confirmed……..An examination of my arteries proved them to be in a progressed state of hardness and brittleness…….We are as old as our arteries…..More still, I know now that I have my life and my health in my keeping, and that if I live right I shall prolong my life to its natural limit.
“….I declare that, accidents excepted, there is nothing more certain and more reliable than a life properly lived. We do not die, we kill ourselves; and mostly with our teeth.”

In fact in many instances he has quite forgotten what his natural food is, and looks with fear and suspicion upon the luscious fruits, the strength-giving nuts, and the ideal body builders, the grains in their natural state. He has for centuries prepared and improved his food. He has cooked and stewed, baked and roasted, changed and mixed the most heterogeneous substances in such a multiplicity of ways, that his whole food has become an unintelligible, and, for his body, mostly useless and poisonous mess of devitalized and disorganized food materials, which he is pleased to call “mixed diet.” This dead and artificial food is not only unable to keep the body alive and in repair, but is filling it with waste matter, and forms the pre-eminent cause of disease and premature death.”
Now read this (pay attention):
“In spite of all the boasted modern chemical remedies, changing with kaleidoscopic rapidity from day to day; in spite of vaccination and injections; in spite of serotherapy and organotherapy; in spite of all the modern artificial, electrical and magnetic appliances the general death rate of Typhoid and of the epidemic diseases is as high to-day as it was centuries ago. The deaths from Bright’s Disease, Diabetes, Pneumonia and Cancer are increasing in number every year, and only in the mortality from pulmonary Tuberculosis, when treated by natural means in its first stage, appears a slight reduction.”
“Sanitation and Hygiene have reduced the number and the extent of epidemics. But if you are once attached by any disease, your chances of recovery, under the usual modern medical treatment, are to-day hardly better than they were during the darkest ages of medical quackery, of human superstition and credulity”

Acute affections of the bronchial tubes, the bowels, the nerves, rheumatic and other feverish attacks have been deprived of their pains and anxiety, and cured in the shortest time through fruit juices and fruit fasts.”
General Principles
“…Disease is practically restricted to Man and his domestic animals. Free animals are nearly always healthy, like the birds in the air and the fish in the water. The difference in living between Man and the free animals will give us the cause of Disease.
Free animals live on natural food and natural drink Man seldom likes natural food and drink; he prepares his food and drink.
Preparation of food means, practically, the application of heat to it, or, in other words, cooking in all it’s different branches.
Natural food does not want cooking, but is chemically changed – often killed – by boiling temperature, whilst a great number of unnatural foodstuffs are made eatable and digestible by heat. Cooked food is dead food
A diet full of dead material forces the body to great exertion in order to extract the new living particles, or to revivify those that can essentially yet be used, and thereby weakens the constitution; while, on the other hand, it must fill the body with useless material, often decomposed and poisonous, which we call ‘waste matter’.”
Waste matter, the product of cooked food, is the cause of most bodily encumbrances and impeded bodily functions. Nature may for a time accommodate this waste matter, but then it has to work under difficulties, which are the symptoms of so-called chronic disease.”
Now read the below very carefully and think about it before continuing to read:
“As soon as the bodily functions cannot go on any longer under the daily-increasing burden of waste matter, the process of life would come to a standstill, and death would follow, if Nature did not start a process of removing the waste matter.
This process of ‘burning off rubbish’ in order to enable the body to go on with the work of life is called Disease….”
Finally:
“Yes, I advocate Fruit Diet not only because Man is a fruit-eater anatomically and physiologically, but because my experience as a patient and a physician has proved to me the beneficial influence of the natural food on healthy, as well as on sick people.
The first will preserve their health and strength, their corporeal, mental and spiritual powers, to the highest old age, under a fruit diet.
To the latter, the sick people, I like to say as a last injunction, ‘Do not give up hope, whatever be the matter with you. Nature can heal where human wisdom and interference fails; return to Nature; live on Man’s natural food; build your body of the normal, life and strength-giving material, and you will find that the time of miracles has not passed yet.’”
